Fillers are the Best Product for Lost Volume
BOTOX® Cosmetic
You wouldn't go to your family doctor to have a tooth drilled would you? So why would you go anywhere other than a facial plastic surgeon to have BOTOX® injected? Dr. Hove's extensive experience and knowledge of facial anatomy allow him to achieve results that other practitioners cannot. Since its FDA approval in 2002 for cosmetic use, Dr. Hove has performed thousands of BOTOX® injections for facial rejuvenation. By injecting BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dr. Hove can reversibly halt the facial muscles that cause deep wrinkles and furrows to form. It takes only a few minutes to administer this safe and convenient treatment, making BOTOX® treatment one of the most popular nonsurgical procedures that our practice offers. It smoothes out frown lines, smile lines, and crow's feet — often completely erasing them within days of treatment, and results can last months! Dr. Hove can also achieve a non-surgical browlift with BOTOX®, elevating drooping brows and giving the eyes a rested youthful appearance.
Injectable Fillers
Looking for a quick way to rejuvenate the face, especially before a big event such as a wedding or high school reunion? Injectable fillers are the perfect answer. As our skin ages, the underlying tissues that keep it looking plumped-up and youthful begin to lose volume. The effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of smiling, squinting, and chewing result in the formation of deep facial creases. Laugh lines, smile lines, crow's feet, acne scars, and lost facial volume can be remedied with injectable fillers. When delivered within or beneath the skin, products such as Juvederm™, Restylane® and Radiesse™ will fill in the creased and sunken areas of the face. Fillers are also a highly effective way to achieve natural appearing plumped lips or cheeks. Depending on your specific needs or desires, Dr. Hove can use injectable fillers effectively as a stand-alone treatment or in tandem with other facial rejuvenation options, such as laser skin resurfacing or facelift. Unlike other surgeons, Dr. Hove reduces your anxiety and pain by using numbing medication before injecting the filler. That way he can bring you the best cosmetic results.
Restylane® & Juvederm™
Restylane and Juvederm are clear, biocompatible gels based on a substance already found in your skin- hyaluronic acid. When skillfully injected under the skin's surface in the right amounts, they reduce fine lines around the lips, mouth, cheeks, and forehead — and deliver a soft, natural appearance that can last for months. Since the injection only takes several minutes and has no downtime, this is an extremely popular way to reduce unwanted wrinkles and create beautifully enhanced lips with a natural look and feel.
Radiesse™
A different injectable filler also made from another biocompatible compound, calcium hydroxylapatite, Radiesse™. is also safely absorbed by the body. It is injected deeper than Juvederm or Restylane, and excels at adding volume to the cheeks and midface. It is popular as a non-surgical facelift. Dr. Hove's patients love this as a quick way to augment the cheeks similar to cheek implants, but without the risks and lengthy recovery of surgery. Its results also last typically 6-9 months.
Look Years Younger with No Downtime
Laser Skin Resurfacing
Medical lasers are very effective at resurfacing scars and other textural irregularities that can keep your skin from looking its best. Through precise, layer-by-layer removal of dead skin cells, laser skin resurfacing produces outstanding results – not only removing imperfections in the skin's texture and coloring, but also tightening sagging skin. Dr. Hove uses a CO2 laser for his laser skin resurfacing, considered the gold standard. This can be performed over the entire face or confined to specific problem areas, and is often done in conjunction with additional cosmetic procedures, such as facelift or eyelid surgery.
Glycolic Peels
A glycolic acid peel is a mild chemical peel that employs an alpha hydroxy acid derived from sugar cane. The purpose is to remove damaged skin cells and stimulate healthy new cells to grow in their place. Patients with a history of acne problems find that this rapid exfoliating treatment is effective in drying lesions; reducing scarring, and decreasing blackheads. The treatment is also favored by patients who wish to smooth fine lines or correct skin pigment disorders.
Chemical Peels
During this procedure, a chemical solution specifically formulated for each patient's skin type and condition is applied to the face — removing the outer layers of skin to reveal smoother, clearer, and more radiant skin. Chemical peels treat wrinkles, blemishes, freckles, sun damage, age spots, and even pre-cancerous growths. In some cases, the treatment can control acne and soften acne scars. Light peels use alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). Medium peels use trichloroacetic acid (TCAs). And deep peels use phenol. Dr. Hove will guide you toward the degree of chemical peel best suited for your needs.
